We’re going to take a VACATION!
The Weathervane will be CLOSED from July 3 through July 11. We all need a well deserved break, it’s been quite the year!
We will re-open at on Monday, July 12 at 4:00pm.
Have a very happy and safe 4th of July holiday weekend!!
Happy 41st Anniversary to the Weathervane Tavern!
Last year at this time, we were in the midst of a world wide shutdown and a pandemic we never imagined. We were so disappointed that we couldn’t share our milestone 40th anniversary on Patriot’s Day like we always did. The pandemic took many lives, livelihoods, jobs, and the costs were much higher than money lost. Through disbelief, disappointment, false hopes; we have all worked really, really hard together to keep ourselves and our patrons safe. People needed to get out, to be with others in a safe environment. Here at the Weathervane, we all worked harder than ever to recreate our programs, our menus, our table layouts. And lots of plexiglass and sanitizer!
Now, a year later we’re still going strong, thanks to YOU. Our patrons who believed in our ability to do the right things to keep them safe, and trusted us enough to keep returning for takeout and then in-house dining. The Weathervane Tavern made it another year, and this 41st anniversary is even more special because of it. From our hearts to yours, THANK YOU!!

The Weathervane Tavern is concerned about the health and safety of our patrons, particularly now that the cold weather is forcing us inside. We have invested in an Air Purifier Solution with NASA Technology from AQUALITE US to keep everyone in our restaurant safe! ActivePure® Technology provides the best air purification on the market!
The Weathervane Tavern now has The Beyond Guardian System- ActivePure® Technology eliminates COVID-19 and other viruses, allergens, bacteria, and volatile organic compounds at microscopic levels via Photocatalytic-UV Sterilization. This air purifier began purifying and sanitizing the air in our restaurant immediately to remove up to 99.98% of airborne viruses as small as 0.1 micron making our environment safe and healthy for children, adults, and all food prep/eating areas.

Since we opened 40 years ago, we have always had in place the following practices in this restaurant:
- Professional cleaning of the restaurant EVERY DAY, even after a thorough cleaning by our staff
- All tables, condiments, menus, chairs, and seating surfaces are wiped thoroughly between patrons with a sanitizer & towel
- All bar seating and serving areas including brass railings are wiped thoroughly between patrons with a sanitizer & towel
- All liquor bottles are wiped clean daily with a sanitizer & towel
- The kitchen is constantly cleaned on all hard surfaces with a sanitizer & towel – at the end of the night the kitchen is cleaned thoroughly again and let to air dry
- All of our staff have been trained throughout the years on the necessities of hand-washing and food safety serving practices.
- We have multiple ServSafe trained personnel – “ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the U.S. National Restaurant Association. The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection. Sanitation certification is required by most restaurants as a basic credential for their management staff.”
In addition, we have added:
- All door knobs, door handles, and frequently touched areas are wiped down hourly with a sanitizer & towel
- Curbside delivery of Take-Out orders if requested
